The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy (KSCA) is an autonomous non-profit institution under the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala, dedicated to the promotion of cinema and film culture.

Key Information (as of 2025)

Chairman: Resul Pookutty (appointed in 2025).
Major Activities:
- Organizes the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), with the 30th edition held in December 2025.
- Hosts the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK).
- Presents the Kerala State Film Awards, including the 55th awards in November 2025.
- Publishes the monthly film journal Chalachitra Sameeksha.
- Maintains the Centre for International Film Research and Archives (CIFRA) at Kinfra Film & Video Park.
